Hello.
I am an obstetrician’s wife, mother of four, grandmother, and cake artist.
It was my niece, Kelsey, who first inspired me to write this blog. She simply said, “Aunty, you need to write things down!”
My parents were immigrants. I was taken out of my country as a child for the sole purpose of gaining an education. We were not encouraged to learn to cook. However, growing up in UK I learned home economics in school. It was there I made my first fairy cake and sausage roll. And that was it. I was hooked.
In this blog I aim to simplify cooking. I will teach you how to achieve fantastic results with minimum effort, using everyday ingredients and basic equipment.
It won't be just cakes and baking. I’ll be sharing insights on living with an Obstetrician, raising four kids, travel, as well as a multitude of quick recipes for great baking and cooking!
